OUR MISSION

The overall mission of the Hueytown Public Library is to serve our patrons by providing materials, services, programs, and facilities to fulfill and/or enhance their educational, cultural, and recreational needs and interests. The term patron includes everyone coming into the library and does not discriminate in any way. Hueytown Public Library is also part of the Jefferson County Library Cooperative. The JCLC Mission Statement is as follows:

The mission of the Jefferson County Library Cooperative is to foster, encourage, and enable cooperation among the public libraries of Jefferson County. We work together to provide the best public library services, information technology and telecommunications in the world to the citizens of our county. We believe that our strength comes from our diversity, our unity of purpose and our dedication to excellent service. By working with other institutions we further strengthen public library service and lifelong learning for all citizens of Jefferson County, Alabama
